It used to be on Sahrani Life that you could have your stats saved from a server reset if you made a donation.  Actually that's what I was looking for on these forums when I found this thread.  Is this still the case?  If so, I can donate like $50 USD on Friday.  It'd be worth it to me.

Needless to say, I'd be pretty pissed if I just handed out $50 and then bam, it gets reset.  Unlike most people on here, I don't have my guy leveled up very far yet because I've only been playing a few days.

If I knew the stats weren't going to be reset on me for awhile then I'd be willing to make a donation.

The stats are normally reset when a new major version comes out, at the moment it looks like the next stat reset will be a long way from now, and you will be given plenty of warning with a vote on the forums to decide on whether you want one or not

That's a pretty solid answer.  Thanks for clarifying.  I guess my last question would then be, if I make this donation, what are the chances the server still gets shut down at the end of the month?

If $50 only gets me two more weeks of Chernarus Life, then it would be better spent on renewing Xbox Live for a year, rather than just 2 more weeks of CL.  Not trying to be rude or anything, just being honest.

As far as im aware, provided the cash can be raised, CL will continue as normal and the server will still be up. And other possible methods of rasing cash are being looked at.

I believe the server contract will run out in less than one week, that is the time we have to raise enough money to extend it without paying additional activation fees.

Best case: We get more donations, can extend the server, everybody is happy.

Worst case: We don't get enough donations, server contract runs out. The website will stay up, and rp-mods doesn't have a server until we can find a way to cover the expenses.
