^_^ The government locks/deactivate your assets anyways when your when you're wanted, so we don't really need credit cards to prevent losing money when dying =0

Alright, lets reaproach this then.

In dsicovering credit cards arent needed as a tool to keep your money, I think we have discovered htem as a new RP element.

 

How about using credit cards as something you can buy from the bank, and ou can use them to buy items witout paying for them right then, but instead gets charged as a percentage of your paycheck.

 

You could have a charge limit based on how long you have been in the game, or how much money you have or make from paychecks.

 

This way, players who make alot of money per paycheck can buy more stuff, etc.

 

This will be good for those times you find yourself "uber pwned" by the police when you phail a drug run, and your left with no money. You can use your credit card to purchase a car and the stuff you need to hop back on your feet.

it is really bad when ur car is broken and u are in the middle of nowhere ! u see a car shop ! u want buy a car ! but u must notice that u havent enough money to buy one ! so my idea (its not mine but i think its a great one) is that u are able to buy or get a check block or credit card from bank and can buy things with it ! u must pay a little % more (like u must pay when u transfer money) then with real SL money but its much safer ! also u can only buy BIG things with it like cars planes etc. ! now my idea with check blocks ! u want buy something from an other civ (something expensive) like expensive cars, helos etc. so u use the check block from inventar ! fill in how much money should tranfer to the other civ and gives one check paper to the civ ! when he gets the check he can went to the bank and then the money get transfered to his account ! TADA

Thats the point. So you wont hop back on your feet and continue drug running but instead stay in a workplace for 2h to buy a trabant.
That way you think twice before doing a run

If the credit card can hold like 20k after you have to wait 24h to use it again (IRL too, theres a month limit) then its OK. But no limit cards should stay as a dream

I think the bank should be more immersive, to promote its use. When (if) we get a new buliding, there should be a counter where you can transfer funds (and remove that ability from ATM's just keep ATM's for withdrawing/depositing, and even that isnt TOTALLY realistic, because as far as i know, you cant put money into your bank account at an ATM irl, you can only withdraw).

You could also buy differant types of credit cards, a higher one time cost = higher limit, or less interest paid (and vice-versa). What about a credit card tax that the mayor can change?? :thumbsup:

ATM's where you can deposit money definatly exist, I use it all the time at my local bank. It counts any notes and coins you put in and gives you a printed update of your balance. It can even recognise cheques and automatically deposits them into your account. :thumbup:

Haha! Yes definatly cant transfer funds with them, I think its a good idea to have to goto the bank to do that.

At the moment its only used for people who either want to rob it or buy insurance.

IMG's bank building would be a great addition also :thumbsup:

yea! and i cant remember where i posted it, but i thought that if you destroyed the bank, it cant be used until its rebuilt, repeatdly hitting enter like gather item "rebuild bank". This could also be used with more popular buildings, like the resource factory or mcsahranis. NOT storage. And each building can only be destroyed every 100 REALTIME Minutes, to stop greifing etc. And if you dont wanna implement this, then you can make it possible to rebuild bridges, but rebuilds are only possible after you bought the training from university flag?

Maybe, you couuld have a system like this to rebuild buildings

2hrs 30mins (game time) to fix building, so...

1 person at building = 150 game minutes
2 people at building = 75 game minutes
3 people at building = 50 game minutes

etc.
