So many players are losing money because they need to transfer it from atm to storage and get killed, or need to go buy something and en route the server has a problem or they are disconnected.

In reality, instead of lugging around large amounts of cash all the time, we choose to bask in the safety of credit cards.

These credit cards in game would allow you to make purchases directly from your bank.

What do you think?

Well that totally takes away from actually having money. Makes ATMs/Banks useless.

We could implement a cap for purchases, meaning... you can "charge" xxxxxxxx.xx dollars and after that cap is reached, actual cash is needed.

Whats money do in the game besides for allow you to lose it in bad situations?

Maybe make it realistic, like for example.

Buying something from a store: You can use your credit card.

Buying something from a player or a drug dealer: Cash only.

IRL if you die, you dont respawn & You loose all your cash.(relatives) So I think its a bad idea. Otherwise evryone will be rich because nobody looses any money.

Basically that...
placing an emphasis and importance on cash on hand...
anyways your inventory saves on your body if youre killed/shot in 1.67, so if you an't wanted, you got nothing to worry because its still there.

and for the point on disconnections/crashes, that's just one of the reality of multiplayer gaming.

Well to be honest I don't see as bad as SL server anywhere else ?( :thumbdown: :lag:

SL is pretty much full most days at certain times, maybe u can find a server dealer that can host SL for free and you put some ads/posts on the site that we're hosted with them

In reality humans are trying to do everything to simplify our life, so that we dont have to do shit at the end. I dont want to have a boring simple game.

I personally dont even have a problem with this.

I'm just thinking that if a ton of people are losing money, it wouldnt be a bad idea.

Anyways you have a point RK, just throwing ideas out there.

i think thats a great idea ! u can only use the card for shops which support the cards ! when u buy things with it u dont have to pay the full price but u have to pay a lil % each paycheck !

You can rob someones Creditcard

the robbed civ that lost his creditcard must go to the bank as fast as possible to deactivate his creditcard. in this time the robber can use it for himself

creditcard suggestion is good.
its a bad idea just to implement it without any else. you must be able to activate, deactivate it and you must pay a lot of taxes for every single thing you buy. like 15-20%. so even the millionaeries will be care about buying stuff with creditcard and will just use it if its really necessary.

maybe u can buy some different kinds of creditcards ! like american express do ! with the normal, gold etc. cards ! i would found it better when u must pay some bugs every paycheck ! not when u buy things with it !

Just slap on a limit, overage charges, and huge APR rates...
plus I really don't know of any store/flag that requires moving a lot of cash over a long distance... atm ftw.

Well you can get killed on those short distances.

Say you want to go buy a challenger, but pita is kinda hot.

You can use a credit card so if you get shot in between withdrawing the 60K and buying the car, you dont lose the money.

I think I said earlier that all your inventory is saved when you are NOT wanted, and is killed via external means (someone shoots you/runs you over/etc)

As I said I personally dont have any problems with losing legal money myself, never happens to me.
