Since I realized that the manual and now deprecated addon installation method is far too complex for technically inexperienced users, I decided to create an automated addon installer.
What does this addon installer do? It ...- performs an auto-discovery of the installation directory (manual override possible).
- overwrites the old @sl_addons directory with a new one containing the addons required to play Sahrani Life.
- creates a shortcut to run Sahrani Life on the current user's desktop.
It doesn't ...- create uninstallers/registry keys/etc.
You said it doesn't create an uninstallation routine. How do I get rid of the Sahrani Life addon pack?
- Delete the ArmA Sahrani Life shortcut on your desktop.
- Delete the @sl_addons directory inside your ArmA directory.
How do I use that installer?
- Execute the installer (needs administrative permissions).
- In case your ArmA root directory has not been automatically discovered correctly, choose it manually.
- Hit Install, wait for the installation to finish, then hit Close.
